A FRIEND NOT COMPLETELY IN NEED IS AN ENEMY INDEED

What earlier I used to think was that it was the intent that mattered while helping a friend. That whether your help counts or not is irrelevant but the very sentiment that you stepped up and helped a person in need deserved recognition; but lately in current society I've found it to be untrue.

If the help doesn't sufficiently satisfy a fellow friend it, not only does he question your judgement and intent in helping him he also looks for any alterior motive you might have behind it.

Based on your further actions he uses that alterior diagnosis to judge your actions and more importantly your intenting in lending him a partially useful helping hand and not only will he not count you as being there for him he will publicise your malintent to others so that they may not be decieved by you.

The general thinking in today's society is that nobody helps nobody and if you help a person in need successfully all the way then probably he will recognise you as a rescuer but if you fail in your task be prepared to be looked at with disghust, doubt and confusion.

THE STRUGGLE OF SOVIET RED ARMY

People say there are a lot of causes for the defeat of nazi germany; be it the allied offensive, the invasion of russia in winter; mindless retreat stratagies, but what we fail to realise is that the main reason for falling of the german giant was the inexplicable courage of the Russian Soldier.
Even after being pounded out of the Ukraine and Leningrad, the soviets continued to fight on till their last breath, offering fierce resistance both on the Moscow and on the Stalingrad front. This led to inability of the Wermarcht to cut out these cities from Russian lines. Both towers stood still and helped turn the tide of the war.
Another important point on the Soviet side was the enormous reserves of their manpower. The mighty Soviet union accounted for an inexhaustible supply of personnel which, equipped with ever increasing number of tanks and weapons(also being aided by Britain and US) accounted for the war machine that led to downfall of the third reich,
What led to this spirit which never seemed to die out?
It is said that the past of the Russians can be traced back to many tribes which once raced about this land. Bred with fierce internal conflicts and continual attacks by the outside invaders this race was born with the will to either fight or die....
But the step which changed this group of fighting tribes to a global force/superpower was again none other than their unity. The formation of the soviet union was the single most important event of the twentieth centuary and changed the course of war and history twice during the century.
No matter what is said otherwise the world is as peaceful as it is today only because of the invincible Red Army and its heroic soldiers who faught ever so bravely for freeing their mother Russia.

HOW CELLPHONES DESTROY OUR LIVES

Dear lazy-ass insomniac,

Its not something you care about but something you should know about you and your friends. Like everything else in the modern world cellphones are another miscarriage in the scientific in-vitro fertilization program and will hurt humanity a lot more than helping it.
Sure you can talk fast and communicate with the speed of light but like everything else science has to offer the side-effects of the thing are seen long after the effects have taken place and are usually irreparable.
With mobile technology everyone is always on a map and ready for the the 'call in', this has radicalized business and industry and medicine and communications systems on a global scale such that we have started moving at a whole new pace, So great is the effect that we have started calling this the 'information age'.
But at the end of the day when you're sitting behind the wheel of your car returning from work listening to the same wretched old song that had been on the radio for as long as you can remember, you are too tired and too overworked to ask yourself the question-what is it all for.
What is all your work and your calls and your busy schedule for if at the end of the day you come home to find the wife and kids hammering away at their touchscreens.
Cellphones have exponentially reduced inter-personal communications to such an extent that the very phenomenon of a family spending time together seems like a myth. Our attention would always be diverted to the text we are awaiting from a special someone or the latest news on a group and one time or the other we will flip that slider away and open the data connection to check upon anything that gets our mind intrigued by the dopamine kick,
It has become an addiction (yes, studies say that!) and the whole humanity is in denial because its just so much fun(like alcohol). So much so that usually the best conversations you've had(or the only one) is via texting on the phone. Life has become entangled in typed words and horribly small and illogical abbreviations rather than flowing in words and laughter.... what do you work and earn for anyway-for coming home to a typist, self-engrossed teenage son who should be playing outside, or coming back for that one real conversation with the family from 10-12 which is-face it-the only time all of you spend together in the whole day.
The only treatment I can think of is to have at least two hours of 'switched off' or 'silent phone' time in which you can actually discuss whats going on in all your complex, stressed out, fucked up lives... trust me that will give you more relief than banging away on the keys. The only way anger and frustration leaves you is when you yell it out loud, not when you have typed it out.... and there is no comparison of laughter and fun without actually talking and transmitting that happiness from yourself to others or receiving it from others. The best conversations you've had in your life are still the ones you've had in the hostel room with your batchmates.
I know you will understand nothing and wont agree with me because things are just "too convenient" and too much fun but somewhere along the line humanity will have to suffer because of the mistakes of this generation, like we're suffering from mindless deforestation and animal extinction and global warming because of older generations
Just promise me you'll try once.
Thanking You,
Yours truly,

Dr. Dwivedi
